Through the eyes of Nadia Briar-Bloncourt, Executive Assistant at Danone
Amidst its inspiring landscapes and singular heritage, each year the Evian Resort hosts large-scale events which shape its legacy. One of these, the Franco-German Encounters holds a special place. For over thirty years, these encounters have brought together economic leaders and political decision-makers for exclusive opportunities that foster reflection, dialogue and cooperation.
To get a better understanding of the scale of these events and the way in which our teams work with the organisers, we met with Nadia Briar-Bloncourt, Executive Assistant at Danone. Drawing on her wealth of experience, she takes us behind the scenes of these exceptional gatherings and the value that comes from a trusted relationship built over the years.
Each year, you organise the Franco-German Encounters for the Danone Group, an event that addresses both economic and political challenges. Could you share a few key aspects with us? Is the organisation on a grand scale or highly tailormade?
The encounters first took place around thirty years ago, with the aim of strengthening Franco-German cooperation at the highest level and ensuring economic growth. There is much enthusiasm from the companies who are invited, which based on the feedback we receive after each session, leads to good quality exchanges. We also use this event as an opportunity to organise bilateral events with certain speakers – notably from the world of politics. All behind closed doors.
What do you think makes our venue and this destination unique? How does this add to the experience you provide for your guests?
The Evian Resort was the place chosen by Antoine Riboud, the instigator of these encounters. The aim was naturally to promote the venue which he held most dear. It turned out, over the years, that it is the ideal place to organise all sorts of events. The destination has many a tale to tell, it is stunning and continually being enhanced. We are attached to it, through the history of our group, but the phrase that keeps coming up in all the debriefs from our guests is “What a joy it is to be here, we feel cut off from the rest of the world, as if in a cocoon”. In addition to the hospitality, the smiles, the helpfulness and the unparalleled responsiveness of the teams, it is the feeling of plenitude and comfort which stands out most. Extremely important when organising an event, of any sort.
In this newsletter, we are showcasing team members who are the dedicated point of contact for our group clients. Could you share your experience of this with us? In practical terms, what does that mean for you?
I speak objectively, and as a “Danoner” for over 39 years, I have witnessed impressive, rapid progress. Attentiveness to the client’s needs, anticipating their requests, responsiveness at all times, being able to share positive comments and fears openly. We are heard. For me, this is the Resort’s biggest asset and that is priceless when we work daily with people who expect excellence.
The Évian Resort is an exceptional venue for professionals looking to host a business event. Whether it’s for an executive committee meeting, a management meeting or a major annual conference, enjoy a unique setting for your next meeting.
